Some are outraged over Tim McGraw who’s set to play a charity concert benefiting the Sandy Hook Promise organization in Hartford, Connecticut on July 17th.
Sandy Hook Promise is a nonprofit organization working toward protecting children from gun violence after the tragic 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
Gun rights activists angrily took to social media claiming that Tim McGraw is promoting gun control by playing this benefit concert.
McGraw responds releasing a statement in the Washington Post:
“Let me be clear regarding the concert for Sandy Hook… As a gun owner, I support gun ownership. I also believe that with gun ownership comes the responsibility of education and safety — most certainly when it relates to what we value most, our children. I can’t imagine anyone who disagrees with that.”
