Dolly Presents Award to Teacher

Dolly Parton does a heaping dose of philanthropy with her non-profit, Imagination Library, when she’s away from the stage. Imagination Library provides kids with books in the Tennessee area. This week, Parton honored Kansas teacher, Dyane Smokorowski, with the Chasing Rainbows Award. This annually presented award is for educators who have overcome obstacles in their lives and is serving to help children. Dolly Parton was the first recipient of this award back in 2002 for her work with Imagination Library. This year’s Chasing Rainbow Award goes to Smokorowski who serves as the Instructional Technology Coach for Andover Public School in Andover, Kansas. So awesome!
